LAMPS is a community service organization in Lubec, ME. With support from volunteers and donors, we provide admission-free cultural events every year in the town of Lubec and raise funds for local non-profits and charities. We also offer educational programs and engage in community outreach.
Our mission is to share our passion for music, to foster connections between local musicians, and to create stronger communities through volunteering and charitable giving. We aim to nurture live local music as well as serve our communities socially and economically. We focus our charitable efforts on Washington County, Maine.
Our summer concert series often begins in June and continues through the summer at Stockford Park and other venues around Lubec. Admission is free. Our summer concerts are fundraising events for local non-profits and charities that are making a difference in Washington County communities. Since 2018 LAMPS has produced or co-produced nearly 40 admission-free concerts and raised over $9000 for local food banks and winter fuel funds.
LAMPS aims to work in mutually beneficial relationships with local charities and non-profits. To date LAMPS has provided services to or partnered with the Bay of Fundy International Marathon, Lubec Community Outreach Center, Downeast Coastal Conservancy, the Washington County ARC, Downeast Rainbow Alliance and the Centre Street Congregational Church.
