Centrally located, Lubec Bay Cottage is a classic Maine seaside cottage with fabulous Bay views and is surrounded by 3 seaside acres of lush wildflower meadows in a quiet, rural setting. Close enough for walking to South Lubec beach, our Cottage is less than 2 miles from West Quoddy State Park with Lighthouse and 4 miles from town, Campobello Island and the Hamilton Cove Preserve.
Stroll down our Boardwalk to our private shoreside sitting area with fire pit/grill, which is adjacent to the renowned Sand Bar birding marshes. This enchanting cottage is situated in a breathtaking setting with spectacular sunrises over the bay and is beautifully furnished with fine antiques and coastal décor. It is a picture-book Downeast cottage that has kept its original character and charm, while having all the comforts to make you feel at home.
The expansive outdoor living area is a wonderful space for grilling, dining, relaxing around the outdoor fireplace, and taking in the view. Our swing is an ideal place for a peaceful afternoon break, or you might read your favorite book while relaxing on the sectional sofa on our balcony with 180-degree panoramic views.
The cottage is very welcoming – it's like coming home. There are two delightful bedrooms (sleeps 5), two convenient bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen – including all you need to cook a lobster feast, comfortable dining and living rooms and a cozy reading room with fireplace. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer. Many amenities included. Even the beds have luxurious European-style featherbeds.
If you would like to bring your paints, brushes, and canvases for painting while on vacation there is a fully-equipped artist studio for your use on the property. The situation is intended to complement the comfortable surroundings with an atmosphere of creativity.
We are a Maine DEP-Certified Environmental Leader cottage implementing GREEN environmentally-friendly practices. Housekeeping uses GREEN cleaning products and our gardens are pesticide-free and very wildlife and dog-friendly.
