Featuring an authentic Maine cottage with a stunning ocean view overlooking Johnson Bay in Lubec, Maine. Campobello Island, Roger's Island and the Town of Lubec can all be seen from this lovely hilltop cottage.
Wildlife abounds with eagles, seals, and a world class assortment of waterfowl and songbirds. Close access to at least 4 Cobscook Trails network.
The cottage is situated on a private hilltop and offers uncommon privacy on seven acres with 400 feet of oceanfront. It is a magical place with sunrises that are art gallery worthy.
The cottage itself is cozy but comfortable. One bedroom with a sofa pullout in the living area, as well as a loft above the kitchen for the kids. (if you're planning on using the loft, please bring sleeping bags.)
The path to the shore meanders through spruce, apple, and birch trees. The walk is only 2 minutes but can take longer when the raspberries are ripe.
We hope you enjoy this spot as much as we do!
A recent review by Abby & her family:
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning oceanfront house in Lubec, Maine, and it was an unforgettable experience! Michael and Mary Anne provided clear directions in advance for our arrival, which made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free.
The house itself is absolutely fabulous and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals while taking in the breathtaking ocean views. The living space is cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
One of the highlights of my stay was having access to the private beach. It was a true paradise, allowing for peaceful mornings with coffee by the water and sunset strolls along the shore. The location is perfect for those looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine coast.
I can't recommend this place highly enough! If you're looking for a getaway that combines comfort, stunning scenery, and wonderful hosts, look no further. Thank you, Michael and Mary Anne, for an amazing stay—I can't wait to return!
